Amber Driving School now offers Car and Trailer training (B+E).
The rules governing which categories of vehicles you are allowed to drive after passing your car test changes in 1997, and are still causing confusion 11 years later. If you passed your test after the January 1st 1997 you need to look at the rules before towing ANY trailer. If the trailer in question is small, then the chances are that there will be no problems, but please check the rules carefully anyway.
If you need to tow a trailer over 750kg, you need to look into the rules carefully to determine if you are allowed to tow that trailer. These limits would easily be exceeded if, for example, you need to tow a horse trailer or anything of similar size or weight.
Please be careful with these regulation, as the penalties for driving without the correct license are quite severe, and could easily result in a lengthy ban from driving as well as a hefty fine (thousands of pounds).
